Confrontation "They told me you'd be here."

The words left Stephanie's lips like a cold breeze crackling through the trees. She was through playing games.

"Glad you showed up. I was getting worried."

James, as usual, was non-chalant, treating the whole thing like a big joke. He never took anything seriously. Well, Stephanie would make him take her seriously this time. She was determined to get back what was hers. "Alright James, enough of this. Where is she?"

James grinned. "Oh, you want her back, do you? Is she so precious to you? Well, you know what they say. No one gets anyting for free."

Twins "So today's the big day, huh?"

Lina nodded. The air in the small circle of friends was tense. On any other day, Lina and her twin sister, Opal, would be playing games and having a great time with the other Tahrag children. After all, they were just kids, Lina and Opal being the oldest among them.

"Big day? What big day would that be?"

Benni wasn't so sure she agreed. The world was a dangerous place for a mouse... or at least, that's what the older mice had always told her. There were lots of dangers out there - poisons, traps, pitfalls. If a mouse were very unlucky, they might even run into the cat!

That was why the younger mice, like Benni and her friends, were counseled to never leave the nest without an older mouse accompanying them. Unfortunately, that didn't happen too often. Some of the younger mice became quite antsy with their protected lifestyle, and while Benni was never in that category,

Chess "It's your move."

Cassandra drew her jacket more tightly around her body as a brisk wind blew by. "Aren't you cold?"

The young girl sitting across the chess table from Cassandra shook her head, in spite of the fact that she had no protection from the cold beyond a t-shirt. "Stop stalling. It's your move."

Cassandra bit her lip as she looked down at the chess board. It was one of several stone boards set up in a small pavilion in the park. Most were unoccupied today, due to the cold front that had moved in the night before. There were a few players here and there; avid players, those who were here almost every day.

Collab with Alimikaby ~jayemjee

This is a collab I did with

. I drew the character and the pose, and she designed the outfit. I then went over it all again with vectors so it would look more consistent.

It came out very well, I think. I've been working hard recently on trying to get my characters to look less stiff and more fluid, and I think I at least partially succeeded with this pose.

I like how you played with details on the dress - frills and ribbons are so cute. The character looks charming and beautiful, lines are clean - great work. Only thing I think you could improve is the face - a few details here could make it only better!

Lol... so you liked everything that

did. She designed the costume; I just drew the character and the pose. And it's true, I didn't really put a lot of detail into the face.

At least I can claim the clean line art, since I did do the vectoring.
